Printing custom trading cards: stock, finish and size explained

What makes a printed custom card feel real — card size, bleed, card stock and finish — and what to check before you order.

A great design deserves a great print. These are the things that make the difference between a flimsy printout and a card that feels like the real thing.

Card size

Most trading card games, including One Piece, Pokémon and Magic, use the standard 63 × 88 mm card size. Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are slightly smaller. Our makers export at the right size for each game.

Bleed

Bleed is a few extra millimetres of artwork around the edge that gets trimmed away after printing. It makes sure there are no white slivers on the edges of your card. The print-ready export in our makers includes bleed automatically.

Card stock and finish

We print on premium card stock with a smooth finish, so the card shuffles and sleeves like a regular card from a booster pack.

Ordering more saves money

The price per card drops as you add more cards to your cart, and the lower price applies to every card in the order — so it pays to print a whole deck at once.
